Thanks for asking. Tramontina cookware is made with 18/10 stainless steel, the highest quality money can buy. It's elegant look is pleasing to the eye.
It's of European descent but has made it's way to the U.S. about 5 years ago. Because it is now made here they have been able to lower their prices to make it more affordable but it's still a bit pricey.
It holds up well but is a bit thin which can cause hot spots to form during cooking.
The company does well but their interests are on more than just cookware, they sell a mutiple of other things besides cookware.
My personal choice is from a lesser known company called Kinetic. They have the same high quality 18/10 stainless steel and tri-ply construction and at a better price.
Depending on how much you cook and what your needs are it might be worthwhile for you to do a little research and find some information on both and compare.
A good place to start would be to google Tramontina cookware reviews and Kinetic cookware reviews.
